Project Overview

The project is a 40 ha development to establish a centralized agri-food wholesale trading zone with cold storage, warehousing, and value addition capabilities, such as packaging and processing.

The Proponent

The Food Terminal Inc. (FTI) is the lead implementing agent and is supported by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC).

Highlights

Investors will benefit from tax and investment incentives, preferential utility rates, and a potential toll subsidy for agricultural cargo. Demand for a centralized food hub is driven by high import reliance for products such as beef, rice, dairy, and pork.

The Opportunity

The project is in the early stages, with the DA securing an initial budget of ₱4 billion for the construction of the initial phase of the complex. Management and operations will be turned over to FTI thereafter. FTI also welcomes private-sector participation, either through land leases to developers or operations contracts with food logistics companies.
