Project Overview
New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC) holds a 15-year concession, extendable to 25 years, to rehabilitate and operate Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Planned upgrades include boarding-bridge replacement, apron-control integration, radar and navigation systems, runway overlay, new parking, and power substation.
The Proponent
NNIC is held by San Miguel Holdings (33%), RMM Asian Logistics (30%), RLW Aviation (27%), and Incheon International Airport Corp. (10%). Project financing is provided by a Philippine bank syndicate led by BDO Unibank.
Highlights
Key procurement items for the NAIA Modernization, such as boarding bridges, apron control, and navigation aids, are entering specification ahead of the general contractor tender. Procurement for other items has already begun, providing precedent structures that will streamline future purchases.
The Opportunity
NNIC is seeking supply partners for a 5-year equipment and systems push and IT rollouts through December 2027. Specifically, the proponent welcomes discussions with suppliers of x-ray equipment, access control systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV), baggage handling systems, and passenger boarding bridges.
