Project Overview
A planned Subic Bay desalination facility and a 71 km bulk water pipeline to transport industrial scale to industrial, advanced manufacturing, and digital infrastructure growth along the corridor up to New Clark City. This provides an alternative to potable water sources for anticipated growth.
The Proponent
The Bases Conversion Development Agency (BCDA) is the leading implementation agent for the desalination project.
Highlights
Early feasibility studies have identified an optimal route for the pipeline that limits pumping costs. Further, the pipeline may benefit from existing national government owned rights-of-way. Proposed advanced manufacturing and digital connectivity project needs in the corridor exceed existing freshwater sources in the Subic-Clark corridor, driving demand for desalination.
The Opportunity
The project is in early stages and welcomes private-sector partners to confirm water demand, optimize routing and hydraulic analysis, and advance pipeline designs and permitting. The proponent welcomes early conversations with investors, offtakers, and suppliers of technologies.
